I
learned to knit as a child and like so many, I knit a series of wobbly
rectangles and put aside the knitting needles. After graduating from
the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, with a BFA, major in
textiles I turned to knitting as a way of exercising the creative
muscle that didn't require a large space, expensive equipment or toxic
chemicals. And the ball was rolling!
I work for the Early Childhood Education program at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia: a lovely way to be inspired, both by the children and the art. I have been lucky enough to work in a yarn store, which enabled me to lust after yarn and keep the creative fires burning. -RETURN to homepage- |
